dont flame me, but I have been wondering if anyone here has swapped the US rear end for the Euro rear end? I calculated that with the stock tires and wheels, I am turning 3333 RPMs at 80 mph. The Euro rear diff ratio would drop that 3013 rpms. This was so the Z32 could run at higher speeds in Europe. I am thinking this might be nicer for me since I dont really need to "hole shot" anyone and I do more higher speed commuting. I know I could basically achieve the same thing if I went to 18 inch wheels and got the right tire size, but I want to keep the OEM look. I am also thinking that the mpg will go up too (yes I know we dont love these cars for their mileage but every little bit helps). I read that the Z32 engineers actually prefered the Euro spec turbo 2+2 over ours because it was slightly balanced and tuned for higher speeds. I wouldnt mind my tach being a little lower at higher speeds and with the twins on tap, I can still move out when I need to. Anyone here do anything similar?
